Brilliant, Alabama Petrified Wood Dig – Clubhouse Meetup
Parking passes for the Brilliant Petrified Wood dig are required to help manage access to the location. Space is limited each day and once parking is full, no additional vehicles will be allowed. Parking passes are nonrefundable and valid for one vehicle. You are welcome to bring as many people as you would like in that vehicle.
This is an incredible opportunity to dig authentic Alabama petrified wood from a productive and rarely accessible location. Heavy equipment will be onsite opening fresh material throughout the event, giving everyone the best possible chance at great finds. Our goal is for everyone to have a safe, organized, and enjoyable collecting
To fill your own 5-gallon bucket is $225, which is an excellent value for this quality of material. Payment for buckets is cash only. All buckets must be filled level, with no overfilling allowed. Please bring your own sturdy five gallon buckets, gloves, and digging tools.
The terrain at this location can be rough and uneven. High clearance vehicles are recommended. Please be prepared for outdoor conditions including heat, dust, and uneven ground. Closed toe shoes and proper clothing are strongly recommended.
You may want to bring wrapping paper, towels, or padding, its very helpful to protect your nicer pieces for the trip home.
