Dec. 20th Wavellite Parking Pass
Parking passes for the Wavellite dig are $20 per vehicle and are required to help manage access to the location. Space is limited each day and once parking is full no additional vehicles will be allowed. The $20 parking pass is a nonrefundable deposit. One parking pass is valid for one vehicle, you are welcome to bring as many people as you would like in that vehicle.
This is a great opportunity to dig some amazing wavellite, and we want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable experience. To access this location all vehicles must be all wheel drive or four wheel drive and high clearance is required. A two wheel drive high clearance truck may be allowed only if it has good newer tires. No cars will be allowed, this is a very strict rule and cars will not be permitted on this road under any circumstances.
You may collect as many buckets as you would like. One gallon buckets are $150 and five gallon buckets are $450. All buckets must be filled level, no overfilling is allowed on one gallon or five gallon buckets. We will provide the one gallon buckets, you must bring your own five gallon bucket if you choose that option.
If you plan on busting or breaking rock, safety glasses are highly recommended. Bursting rock is one of the best ways to find wavellite at this location. You may also want to bring a small amount of water or spray bottles to rinse your pieces and see the color and quality better.
High quality wavellite is being found here in a wide range of colors, from blue to green and everything in between. You may want to bring a little wrapping paper or padding to protect your nicer finds for the trip home.
We will be meeting at the parking lot of the True Value Home Center Hardware Store at 10:00 AM each day and will be leaving promptly at 10:30 AM. No late arrivals will be allowed, please be on time and ready to leave together.
